December saw RIG in China and Taiwan cementing local partner relationships for its Oil and Gas technology client. The client operates in a global market and has chosen partnering as the preferred route for rapid geographical scaling. RIG started building these partnerships 18 months ago in order to seed the next round of the client’s expansion after North American and Western Europe, and now manages them on an ongoing basis.
While the partners were chosen for the attributes that they share – engineering knowledge, market access, entrepreneurial attitude and integrity – they are quite different organisations. RIG’s emphasis has been on creating a partnering approach and processes that are repeatable.
Subsequently, using this model RIG has helped the client to build partnerships in Brazil, India and Nigeria.
“Some of RIG’s high-IP clients need to establish global presence rapidly. RIG actively exploits its linguistic and cultural fluency to help them to identify, build and manage the international and regional partnerships they need to succeed”, says Simon Jackson, Director at RIG.
